Ghany and Harrichand Help Caparo Warriors Overcome Arouca Allstars

Caparo Warriors completed a successful chase at the Madras Recreational Ground on Friday, 23 October, defeating Arouca Allstars by six wickets in the Madras T10 Super League.
Set 99 for victory, Caparo reached 100 for four in 9.1 overs, securing the result with five deliveries remaining. Shurlan Ghany led their batting effort with 31 from 25 balls, striking four sixes.
Arouca had earlier posted 98 for five from their ten overs. Damian Sammy top-scored with 31 from 26 deliveries, while Marcus Chuniesingh supplied greater urgency with 28 from 16, including three sixes and a four.
Ricardo Ranjit added a powerful unbeaten contribution, smashing three sixes in his 24 from just seven balls to strengthen Arouca’s total.
Kiran Harrichand delivered an important spell for Caparo, dismissing both Sammy and Chuniesingh to finish with two for 13 from two overs. Antonio Philip also kept the scoring under control, returning one for 13.
In reply, Caparo combined Ghany’s contribution with several brisk supporting innings. Darion Gooding struck 15 from seven balls, while Jadon Simon made 14 from seven with two sixes. Aqueel Hosein also finished unbeaten on 14 from seven deliveries.
Arouca’s hopes of defending their total were hurt by 21 extras, which provided substantial assistance to the chase. Chuniesingh returned one for 15, Rajiv Ramcharitar took one for 12, and Kareem Hamilton claimed one for 22.
Caparo ultimately had enough batting contributions to get across the line, pairing Harrichand’s economical bowling with a chase built around Ghany’s six-hitting.
