Sarvesh Dindial Blasts 46 as Same Side Beat Hummingbird by Seven Wickets
Sarvesh Dindial struck 46 from just 19 balls as Same Side defeated Hummingbird Cricket by seven wickets in the Madras T10 Super League on October 31.
Chasing 81, Same Side reached 83 for three in 6.2 overs, completing the victory with 22 deliveries remaining. Dindial hit five fours and three sixes, scoring at a strike rate of 242.1 to provide the decisive attacking innings.
Kern Ramdeen finished unbeaten on 14 from ten balls, including two fours, while Kadesh Samlalsingh was four not out from one delivery. Teshawon Castro and Suraj Seepaul each contributed seven from four balls.
Nicholas Harryram gave Hummingbird two breakthroughs, dismissing Castro and Seepaul to finish with two for eight from one over. Nyron Thornhill removed Dindial and returned one for four from two deliveries, but Same Side had already made rapid progress towards their target.
Earlier, Hummingbird posted 80 for three from their ten overs. Azam Mohammed led the batting with an unbeaten 36 from 25 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Enrique Rupert made 21 from 17 deliveries, while Thornhill added 17 from 14.
Kieron Alexander took two for 24 for Same Side, dismissing Rupert and Thornhill. Castro bowled economically for one for eight from two overs, and Ramdeen also conceded only eight runs from his two overs to help keep the total within reach.
The result extends Same Side’s unbeaten Group A campaign to three wins from three matches and six points.
